The Cardiology Department of MES Medical College Hospital has emerged as a leader in the fight against cardiovascular disorders in patients in the whole of Malabar area. The cardiology team with proven training and contribution in the field of Interventional Cardiology (Angiographies and Angioplasties) provide advanced treatment to patients with variety of cardiovascular disorders. Our Cathlab is fully equipped to provide intensive, multi-disciplinary and comprehensive care to patients with complex/multiple disorders. We collect the lowest charges for Angiogram and Angioplasty, TMT, ECHO and interventional procedures when compared to the prevailing rates of other Hospitals in Kerala. Medical Oncology department handles basic and advanced cancer therapy including high-dose Chemotherapy, Immuno Therapy and Targeted Therapy for all solid organ malignancies. The department is well equipped for managing all haematological malignancies including Lymphoma, Myeloma and Lukaemias. The department is backed up by one of the best diagnostic specialties which include pathology, immunohistochemistry, tumour maker assay and advanced radio diagnostic services, P & OP chemotherapy services, using chemotherapy catheters and champ ports by well trained health professionals making this department unique in Medical Oncology in the whole of Malabar. In the near future we are planning Autologous, Allogencis stem cell transplant programme and Radiotherapy.
We are providing free services to Oncology patients on compassionate considerations. Drugs to these patients are also made available at the lowest rates.
Through this cancer registry program, our hospital provides data to the National Cancer Registry Programme Centre at Bangalore which is net-worked with all places in the country. The Nephrology department has state-of-the-art equipment’s and facility for total renal failure patient care under one roof for both adults and children. The department is housed in a world class atmosphere wherein patients undergo dialysis.
The Paediatric Surgery department, with a highly experienced consultant provides top class treatment and family-centered care for the diagnosis and management of paediatric problems like Cleft lip, Cleft palate, Tracheo oesophageal fistula, Infantile Hypertrophic Pyloric Stenosis, Hirschsprungs disease, Imperforatenus, Undescended testis, Hernias and Abdominal wall defects.
Emergency paediatric problems like itususception, intestinal obstruction, appendicitis are some of the paediatric surgery conditions treated here. Trauma care is done in the department. Children with tumours like Neuroblastoma, Wilm’s Tumor, Teratomas etc are also admitted and treated by laparoscopic surgery.
Endocrine Surgery is a nascent branch among surgical disciplines. Most of the endocrine surgical diseases present with the physiological derangement are caused by the over production of hormones or mass effect. Vascular surgery is a specialty of surgery in which diseases of the arteries and veins, are managed by minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. The Department is well equipped with infrastructure for management of all vascular diseases including a state-of-the-art endovascular suite. All open and endovascular surgeries are routinely done in this department.
